Some of the most rewarding work I’ve done was performing with the Medical Clown Project over two years of visits to the Bay Area.

This organization is changing the health care system, one laugh at a time, through clowning, acrobatics, music, and good ol’ fashioned visitin’. While some of our work brings us to pediatric units, the bulk of the work I’ve been involved with has been in dementia units, as well as residential and long-term care facilities.

In 2015, I did one of the first HOME CARE CLOWN VISITS! What a joy it was to have the client dress up for a special guest, her home aides prepared punch and snacks, and we had a snazz-a-riffic mocktail party, complete with chit-chat, laughter, and performance.

So much work is being done in this arena, and I myself have only scratched the surface of the research and practice so many professionals have implemented. Here are some of my favorite media clips:
